The U.S. Dept of Education grant that we've been operating under for the past three years ran out the end of September.  So far we have not been able to find additional funding that will allow us to continue our computer project at the current level of service.  We have explored many avenues for additional funding but have not found any new sources.  At this point, we plan to close down the project by May 31, 2010 unless additional funding is found.  All applications received through September 30 will be filled within 6 months.  New applications will be acknowledged and saved in postmark order.  They will only be filled if we have excess computers before we close or have received enough funding to remain open.

We will be able to maintain our current level of service through October 17. However, after that we will have to drastically reduce our level of operations. We are going to:

• Move to a much smaller facility in late October.
• Lay off our part-time computer technicians, warehouse workers, and administrative personnel
• Reduce the number of computer donations we can accept (due to less storage space) see below for specifics
• Reduce the number of computers we can make ready for clients
• Be open Saturdays only, probably only 2 Saturdays a month
