The SOONER AMBUCS Welcome You

"Serving Norman and the state of Oklahoma for over 19 Years"

AMBUCS™ is a national service organization composed of a diverse group of men and women dedicated to creating independence and opportunities for people with disabilities.

SOONER AMBUCS is the Norman, Oklahoma chapter of the National AMBUCS, Inc. Our chapter was chartered on May 29, 1990 and we have developed a reputation as a group that "gets things done." We are recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization under IRS regulations.

Please visit the other areas of our site to review the projects and events we work on, and our activities in the Norman community. We were especially proud of our ASK project through which we give computers to people with disabilities.

AMBUCS Computer Project Update:

The SOONER AMBUCS computer project officially shut down May 1, 2010. This was due to the US DOE grant ending September 30, 2009 and us not being able to find any additional sources of funding for the project. The Sooner AMBUCS are proud of the fact that during the 12 years we conducted this project we gave away over 6000 computers to people with disabilities in the state of Oklahoma.

We want to thank all the organizations and individuals that have donated their time, money, resources, and old computers to our project.
